Dunsop Valley and Ouster Rake

Sat 12 Oct 2013

Postponed from last week, Andrew and I walked up Dunsop Valley in pleasant sunshine, lunched just past Brennand Farm, and climbed up Ouster Rake to pass over the ridge of Whins Brow before dropping down over much disturbed land to the Trough Road.

Back at the car park we had an ice cream at the butty van owned by a friendly man and wife. Later, as I prepared to go to bed, I realised I'd left my map on the wall below Whins Brow!

Postscript: I went back the following morning, reaching the wall by around 9 o’clock, and found the map was still there - and dry!
