Crummackdale gentle stroll

Crummackdale from Sulber Gate

The sun was illuminating the front of the house, and although there had been rain overnight I belatedly decided to get out for a gentle walk in Crummackdale.
The normal parking place at the top of the lane above Austwick has been ruined by cars creating muddy ditches by the wall but I managed to put the car on the other side leaving plenty of room for anything to get by.
It was 20 past 12 when I set off up the track past Crummack, arriving at Beggar's stile after a pleasant stroll.

I had a snack at the stile, chatted for a few moments with a couple going walking over to Moughton, having come all the way from Feizor. I then went off to the corner seat above Thieves' Moss.

Beggars' Stile

Who did that?

Before the cold began to feel uncomfortable I walked along the ridge towards Long Scar , dropped down to Crummack then back to the car. An enjoyable short day.
