RW Clough Head to Ogden Reservoir

Grane Reservoirs from the Rossendale Way

Off to Clough Head café again where I had a good mug of tea and a scone before setting off round the 'wild west' end of the RW. I was pleased to see that flags have been placed the muddy section where the Way turns east towards Close Bottom Farm ruins. It's a pity the run is short by two slabs.
Beyond Close Bottom the board of information about the whisky distillers is now completely illegible, having been bleached by the sun as it faces south. Further on the area below Top O'T'Knoll is so bad a quagmire it's passable only with considerable risk of ending one's days as a bog body for future archaeologists to wonder at. The next short section doesn't appear to be shown correctly on the OS map.
I stopped by the small delph and ate my small snack but started to feel stomach pains, which I put down to clothing restrictions around the waist. It persisted for the rest of the walk.

The signpost of contention below Musbury Heights has still not been altered. Do I give up?
