Hazelhurst Repair Work!

On walking up the fell side from Stang Yule for a leg stretcher, I was dismayed that I could not see the cairn that I have visited many times over late years. On climbing up to where it was a few months ago I found it had completely collapsed. It could have been vandals, or the frost and easterly winds, that had done it, or maybe the farmer wanted to discourage walkers from leaving the permissive path.
Whatever had been the cause I set to in an attempt to repair it.

Not a very good job, but the base stones are large and very heavy, so I'm afraid it doesn't match up to its former height and shape.

So here for good measure are two photos from different angles! Let's hope it's standing the next time I walk up there.
