After lunch, the sun being out there being not much wind I set off
for Delph Lane. The sky was blue and the hills looked inviting.

I went only as far as the stile over the intake wall below Hazelhurst Fell. I sat there for about 15 minutes. With such a view it feels like one could sit for hours. A runner without even a vest on dashed up to and over the stile to carry on up Winny Bank.

There were quite a few people about, in twos and threes, and then as I set off back along the road I met a group of about a dozen. In all, I expect there were over two dozen people out walking in the immediate area taking advantage of the lull in the bad weather before the rain recommences tomorrow.
